Gianna Cappello insegna sociologia dei media presso l’Università di Palermo. E ‘co-fondatore e attuale presidente del MED, Associazione Italiana per la Media Education. I suoi interessi di ricerca includono mezzi di comunicazione e studi culturali, e il rapporto tra bambini e media. E ‘anche interessati a studiare gli aspetti pedagogici e sociologici della Media Education. E ‘stata visiting professor in Cina e Venezuela e ha frequentato numerosi convegni nazionali ed internazionali sui suoi temi di ricerca. Tra le sue ultime pubblicazioni, co-pubblicato libri sulla comunicazione e del multiculturalismo così come un libro sui bambini, media ed educazione ai media nel sistema scolastico italiano. Lei è coordinatore europeo per la Media Education di SIGNIS (Associazione Cattolica Mondiale per la Comunicazione).

Marcello Marinisi is a Ph.D. Student in “Sociology, Territory, and Rural Development” (Department of Political Studies, Law, and Society “Gaetano Mosca” – DPDS Mosca) at University of Palermo. He held his M.A. in “Cultural Events, Heritage, and Territory” from the University of Palermo (Department “Ethos”) in 2011. In 2008, he obtained a degree in Communications from the University of Palermo, with the thesis Tele-socializzati. I giovani, la TV e la politica. In 2009 he attended the Summer School “Wide Borders of Social Research. Observing and Understanding Strategies” – Advanced Studies School of the Italian Association of Sociology (Associazione Italiana di Sociologia – AIS) ­­– organized by the Department of Sociology and Communication of the University of Rome “La Sapienza” focusing in methods and techniques of qualitative research. At present he is interested in Polical and Cultural issues, online communities, as well as in Games Studies.

Annalisa Castronovo is a Ph.D. Student in “Sociology, Territory, and Rural Development” (Department of Political Studies, Law, and Society “Gaetano Mosca” – DPDS Mosca) at University of Palermo. In 2009 she attended the Summer School “Wide Borders of Social Research. Observing and Understanding Strategies” – Advanced Studies School of the Italian Association of Sociology (Associazione Italiana di Sociologia – AIS) ¬¬– organized by the Department of Sociology and Communication of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. In 2008 she held a degree in Communications from the University of Palermo, with the thesis Generazioni a confronto. Indagine sui punti di vista di giovani e adulti davanti alla TV. Currently she is interested in Cultural Studies, specifically in Media and Fandom Studies.

Massimiliano Andreoletti is a videogame player, a Media Educator, an educational designer and a teacher in Faculty of Education in Catholic University of the Holy Heart in Milan. He has a graduation in Pedagogy and a Ph. D. in Communication and New Technology, his interests are connected with educational technology and, in particular, with Virtual Reality, videogames, personal learning environments. He wrote some texts and articles about video game and education. He worked with teacher and educator about use of video games in formal and informal learning and with children, “tweens” and adolescent about video games’ use, appropriation and consumption.

Anna Ragosta is Media Educator, independent researcher, educational designer, teacher assistant (TA), evaluator, MED and Edu-Tech experienced teacher, independent Education Management Professional.
Her activities are teach, supporting to didactic, evaluate, cultural animation, online community animation, blogger, media events designing and public relations.
She joins in sociological researches promoted by italian Ministry of Education, Academia and other Institutions and Foundations.
She participates in national and international projects having as their objects the training, education, Media and ICT.
Her interests are connected with educational technology and, in particular, media, videogames, audiovisuals, internet, digital literacy, open source, e-learning and IWB (Interactive White Board), personal learning environments and Long Life Learning.
She wrote some papers and books on hers research interests.
She collaborates with Catholic University of the Holy Heart in Milan about post-graduate projects management, educational projects technology based, e-learning, tutoring activities management and TA. She’s adjunct like expert on the “Didattica e Tecnologie dell’Educazione”.
She’s a teacher in formal and informal learning contexts (with adult, children, “tweens” and adolescent) about medias, especially audiovisuals, videogames education ( appropriation and consumption), Interactive White Board (IWB or LIM) and digital literacy.
She’s relator in symposiums and conferences.
She collaborates with “Aracne” (an open and collaborative network for social development and support), a Spin-Off Philosophy Department “A. Aliotta” of Università Federico II in Napoli’s. It aims at promoting active citizenship, rights and people empowerment through a shared construction of knowledge, lifelong learning, communication and ICT.
She collaborate with Centro Culturale Sportivo Asteria in MIlano and manages a film review “Non solo Cinema: oltre la visione, lo sguardo” (for adult) and film workshops for kids.
